Founders Story

During Covid, I discovered a deep love for plants and nature — a quiet revolution that changed everything. Last year, I completed an herbalist course with Ecoversity, where I was immersed in centuries of wisdom: from Traditional Chinese Medicine to the sacred importance of ethical plant sourcing. The community I found there — the women and men who share this way of thinking — inspired me to reach further, to bring this knowledge to the world. Because our planet needs us.

I believe science saves lives, but nature keeps us healthy and alive.

I come from a loving family, and at the heart of it all is my grandmother, Socorrito — a gifted cook who taught me that food made with love carries real power. My grand aunts, too, carried that same wisdom. It lives in me, and now it lives in every product we make.

Together, my husband and I created Ocean Root to share that love — for plants, for herbs, for spices, for wellness. As a Pisces, I've always felt a deep connection to the ocean. I honor the land that gave me birth, the land that nourishes our family, and all my ancestors whose wisdom flows through me.
